"Too Genius for my Gear"

Post by planetshift » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:55 pm

Anyone else here INSIST that computers secretly conspire to fuck up and crash when our pieces start getting really genius? Like we have to take all these backdoors (resampling, track freezing) to not hurt its poor little ego with our brilliance, cos the second we rock we start to hear FUZZKLICKCRACKPOPKSHHHHHHHH?

holla at me

Well using Track freezing and resampling doesn't mean your comp is conspiring against you as much as it means your Genius is pushing the child labor laws to the limits. In simpler terms you're pushing your comps limits (which were established by you in the first place), so do the smart thing and rebuild with a newer/better proc, more mem, and a fresh OS install. We resample and freeze to save on processor juice. But if you don't have enough dont get mad at the poor computer. Its your child and you should love it. Love it, damnit!

Oh man, I got CTRL-S down as a twitch reflex every two or three minutes.

I even catch myself doing it when writing long emails or forum posts!
