A debate entails an arguement people will side on... Favorite breaks is a brainstorm, not a debate, becuase it is an opinion question, not something that can be argued... 'Most Influential Breaks' would create debate. Weekly brainstorms honestly sound better though, as the last thing we need are more touchy subjects to argue on... you might as well start a 'medi vs. brostep' thread or an 'ableton vs. decks' one...

Like, I think rather then more arguements and debates, this board really needs more work on information... Weekly brainstorms sound like a good way too get that stuff rolling... + the production bible could use a bit of a facelift, theres alot been covered since its last update that could be included... Someone suggested a DJ bible a while back, me n some people brainstormed topics but never posted it, we could all start getting down too that...

More informaton pulling... you dont have to argue while you do it... see what Im sayin?

All brainstorms as well. Brainstorms would be more productive than debates i believe.

Working on the production bible sounds good, also making a DJ bible would be really helpful on here.

Debates-

Time and effort spent on production,
Promotion,
Equipment, (can help with bible)
Selling music. (deals/£££)

Is daft tnuc still around to help put it all together?

This, but Id like to see it as an ongoing topic tbh... I think a continuous discussion of new discoveries coupled with how those discoveries could become inspirations and ingredients for new genres and new directions.

If no one minds, Ill start that thread in a bit... if its thought to be best left to one of these weekly discussions, that would work too

This, and actually now that I think about it, the production bible, may fare better as a blog series, no? If I had more time I would do it, but I cant guarantee Id be able to keep it up - Im already juggling too many projects as it is...

But maybe a wordpress blog with each topic as a post added every few days? Topics could be discussed here, essential bits extracted and re-posted on the blog where more people may see it than just those of us who make it in here... just a thought.

Ill be glad to contribute what I can to the DJ bible when it gets rolling
