House Music and Jazz Dancing

Now if you read my posts you'll know I am into dance floor focused tunes whether fusion, latin, broken or house

I was alerted to this film on another forum and via email so thought I'd share it here

This was a big part of UK club culture and later the styles were adapted to early house and techno (which were played at all dayers and in clubs from the mid 80s onward and before house dance I might add..) hence the thread title and the posts relevance here

Take a look at not only some history ( the old footage is from the legendary electric ballroom) but what is STILL happening in the jazz dance \broken beat and to a lesser extent underground house scenes of today..

Yes from Brownswood I was also mailed the link. I wasnt at the lasts Dingwalls reunion but went to the previous 2 and as I said do attend dancer focused events.

Footage is causing waves already.

btw the electric ballroom footage is taken from a 40 minute film that was shown for the first time in London at the launch of Snowboys book called From Jazz Funk and Fusion to Acid Jazz.
