Help? How to make 'stabbing' dubstep noise/wobble
I'm trying to figure out how to make a short 'stabbing' wobble like the one found in Bar9 - Beginning (Lead synth starting at about 0:30 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWE_rkkqVU4 )
In Massive I've got triplet ramps in an LFO sync'd and put on the cutoff of the Daft filter -- I've got that part down fine. I can't figure out how to get that 'grimy' sound with the osc/noise/filers/etc though. Bar9's sound almost has no tone, it's just noise/grime.
Any tips (Massive specific or general) on how to get that sound?

What the hell is triplet ramps? You mean in the envelope section and not lfo?

Mines a different thing enitrely... mines an enveloped bit and some ramp modulating formant bits... the formant bits are SORTA similar though I guess.... But I think its just the ramp mod doing that, the waveshapes are way different here, and theres some kind of other modulation going on that make the ramps sound almost rounded...
Your gettin there with the ramp mods though dude, It sounds like a ramp on the volume and a sine/saw modulating the filter cutoff maybe? It could be square on volume too, idk... But thats a wierd one...
Ask in how too make a sound. There some serious synth gurus float about here, thats where you find em...
