First of all, Magma's reply was reply of the month.
Second of all, I've had this too. One day after driving to the university and pulling into my parking spot, I just froze and couldn't move. I felt tired and miserable, and wondered "what's the point in even getting out of my car?", so I just sat there like a non-contributing zero for fourty-five minutes, staring straight ahead, unable to convince myself to get out of my seat.
I still have trouble w/ motivating myself to keep going sometimes, so you're not alone. Problem is I can't give you the solution yet, b/c i haven't found it either. What helps, definitely, though, is getting a good night's sleep. Can't stress this enough. During the summer and over christmas break, my average bedtime is about 5am, and during school i used to neglect my sleep, and all i can say is you're swimming upstream if you do that.

Definitely this. My insomnia magically dried up on new years day after a heavy rave. I fell asleep the following night, woke up, and ever since I've had a normal sleeping pattern after 10 years on/off insomnia. Proper insomnia that is, not just a bad sleeping pattern, I mean getting NO fucking sleep. But yeah, since getting on this sleep business (as well as getting a steady job a month later) it's improved absolutely everything. Helped immensely on my irritable bowel problems, helped some chronic swollen glands in my neck problem, stopped constant headaches, helped me put on weight (I was 9 1/2 stone/130ish pounds @ 6ft 1), gave me back a decent sex drive, gained a huge amount of motivation. So yeah, sleep is fucking awesome, not sure why my sleeping got back on track so suddenly, but it was definitely a godsend. Getting it on track is pretty tough though, I went through a few years of counselling, getting regular exercise, loading up on suppliments, various hypnotic and sedative medication as well as self medicating with anything mildly sedating, all to no avail, so I know it's not as simple as most people think to get it on track.

Man, that's exactly how I felt when I was doing a lot of acid, I just didn't see the point in any of it...I still feel that way sometimes but I just go because I wanna make the most of my education.

Rediscover what it is you love about what your studying. Think of the prospects of obtaining your degree. Less of the ganja. etc etc
