im starting up a record pool in the next few months and need to get some stock together.

basically im paying distributor prices for vinyl and im also working out a mp3 download section where members can get tracks before anyone else.

for vinyl i will only get from stateside sources unless i get some amazing deal. shipping sucks, nuff said.

anyone interested in this idea pm me and we can talk about this further

And re-selling to? stores? end customers? other distros?

Not wanting to rain on your parade, but every digital platform under the sun wants to get exclusivity deals, and "tracks before anyone else".

i gave a breif description of this and expected questions so here we go

1)end customers. people will sign up for a fee and i will send the records out to them. this is a stateside project which will answer question #3. as far as ive ever heard (and remember its just me. i dont know everything) the united states are referred to "the states" outside of here.


2) i understand that everybody wants to have exclusive tracks but im NOT asking for these tracks to only be released through me. i just want to set it up to where i put the tracks up for a single download to each member. i would expect the tracks to be released within a month or two at most. this would actually be good id imagine for the labels by allowing the track to get played to build a little bit of hype. and by releasing the track shortly after i would get the track out you wouldnt have as much trouble with file sharing.
