looking for mastering guide

I can't recall on which website i found it, but some of you probably know what i am looking for.
there is a free online course covering mastering basics, does anyone know where to find it? forgot to add it to favourites, meh

tbh... it wont be worth it. the most valuable information is just watching an ME (mastering engineer) do his thing. also there is a fantastic book called "mastering audio" written by the ledge Bob Katz. that will see you further than any online course.

or pay soneone 15 quid to do it with full outboard kit etc. then try and get similar results. it can help knowing how it can sound in the hands of a professional, as a benchmark,

Yeah you're right.. i might go after that book instead, thanks. Why didn't i think of that

i definately get your point, and that's what i've been doing for some time now.
but that's still guessing how things were done. i want to read up on why things are done (theory) not how, i can figure that out myself i think.. but thanks!

i dont agree with eveything in i t, but its good for a start...
ozone (the plugin) has a really nice guide to mastering, although i dont really like software to master my shit.

katz' book trumps pretty much everything else i've read out there-- goes deep into both the science and art aspects.

Thanks for the links!!
though none of them are what i was looking for (that thing dissapeared or something) they all seem quality reads so i'm going to.
also i've just ordered the book by katz because i don't want to miss any single detail

one thing i learned here on DSF is: do a good mixup, EQ as good as possible - and your track will sound well produced
though mine are not htat good mixed up.
