Following the success of Pipedown#01 w/ James Blake, Greena, Om Unit and Elijah & Skilliam and continuing our residency at The Rhythm Factory here comes PIPEDOWN #02.

Special line-up this one, we've got a KEYSOUND RECORDINGS showcase. Output from the label reads like the finest in garage, dubstep and grime; heads like Starkey, DVA, Grievous Angel, Geeneus, Sully and all the people playing on the night have exhibited here before, aswell as forthcoming stuff from Skream and LV.

The label originally started as a platform for label heads DUSK & BLACKDOWN to release their own production. They head the night and if you've heard their monthly shows on Rinse FM, you know you're in for a treat. After the release of their debut album, Margins Music, they've been working hard on new production due out this year. Seeing them DJ is the ONLY way to hear their new tunes. Blackdown also runs the finest blog in the game, blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com.

Next up, LHF are a collective of producers including Amen Ra, Double Helix, Low Density Matter, Octaviour, No Fixed Abode, Escobar, Solar Man and more. Big crew. They honestly sound like nothing else out there at the moment, in Blackdown's words it's like 'Sun Ra's hijacked Rinse FM and is using it to communicate with the heavens.' Their debut EP and subsequent album on Keysound is due this year too.

Lastly is KOWTON bringing the rhythmical energy and swung grid of garage with the depth of house music and techno. Stasis, released on Keysound last year, received attention from heads like Mary Anne Hobbs, Kode9, Ben UFO and more.

Of course residents and regular contributors to pipedownson.com; Sduk, Cntrst, SImonSays and The Juliets warm things up nicely. Same business as before; future sounds, visuals and cheap drinks. No excuses...
