Im trying to make a track of alll genres, i was wondering if you are willing to help....
Dub Chords- Do you have a guitar soundfont that works well, i tried an organ but wasnt digging it. Do you have any vsts that i can use to get the chords, i hope you know what im talking about, the delayed ones.. . ? thank you Or further educate me on my theory of what it is (It might not even be an instrument*)
and allso the synth lil wayne uses in this song i would like to make them, if you can walk me through on it it would be much apreciatted. The synth im talking about is throughout the whole song but cant be missed in the end. Please dont insult my taste in music because i dont insult yours. Thanks alot my dsf brutthas. much love from chrzanow, even more if you can pronounce it :p

I have a massive collection of nice old guitars through nice old amps out too interface... You mean to tell me they dont have hippy kids who play guitar where you come from? Record those guys... chances are, they know what you want. if you get that desperate go too freesound and type in "one-shot, reggae" or something like that...
The little wayne things just saw waves, get a rave saw preset n filter it too shit, play on high ass octaves, put through a bunch of reverb n delay... nothin much really... just 3 or so detuned saws and a bunch of filter/verb/delay
kinda crazy combo of sounds to ask for in one post, lol....

hi,
yes, its chords.

all genres? what does that mean?
anyway - offbeat/skank is mostly played by guitar plus/or organ plus/or piano. or synth or whatever sound you like.

sometimes just one of them, sometimes a few or many together. depends on the tune/style/taste...
the classic "dubby"way is through a send delay unit (try 1/16, 3/16, 1/2) and through a send (spring)reverb. reinject(should be automatically done in your daw) the returns to have better control on volume and pan. go crazy with sendvolumes (take care if you can create feedbackloops!) and delayfeedback(take care too) and delaytime and bring life into the skank (and drums esp. snare). a phaser involved is nice too.
hope this helps a little,
micha

???:D
well you know the difference between send and insert fx, right? just dont forget to set the output 100% wet on sendfx to get rid of the initial sound there and play around.
