Samples?

Post by 7 below » Mon Jan 23, 2006 9:26 pm

Anyone know any particularly good sample CDs?

I'm after plenty of high quality one hits, and wouldn't mind a few loops thrown in (some jungle). Don't really need any classic drum machine samples as I have loads of them at the mo...

Polar put out a sample CD on big fish a few years back, it's top notch.

I've only heard it, don't have it, but what I have heard is as good os you might expect.

If you can find it, my favorite sample cd is the one that Reinforced Records put out years ago called DNB Planet. Look for it, it is sick man.

Not made anymore, but you can find it.

picked up "neat beats" by the reinforced lot recently. Quite an old cd now, but has some really nice loops in it, lots of good edits and layers of classic breaks

for single hits check out modern beats. always high quality sounds

Jungle Warfare...Standard. :D

That is probably the only sample cd i use (for breaks)....everything else has been sampled by myself. I mentioned in a previous thread that i joined the library just so i could rent weird films and cd's that may or may not contain good samples...has thrown up a few good bits already.

My housemate has a ridiculous video collection as well which gets sampled from time to time. He has made a couple of dnb tracks with samples from 'Back to the Future' and another with 'Teen Wolf'...you would have to be a total geek to spot where they are from though...

"Can't get enough of THE STUFF!"

You can have it dude. I just like to entertain the idea of sampling phrases from movies. I would never want to have to deal with getting it cleared if the track actually got picked up by a label.

Here's something that should interest any sample head.
