So... might be about to put a deposit down to rent a sick flat in Stratford... the only thing that's making me think twice is that i really don't know the area (Stratford east london btw, not stratford upon avon)

Thought i'd ask you lot if you have any experiences to share or if any of you live round those ends... what's it like?

Seems like cos of the olympics it's just like a giant building site... not sure how much that bothers me lol

Stratford is only down the road from us bro, is well alrite, go drinking up there quite abit.

Live next to stratty in Leytonstone and have lived in Stratford before.

It's a bit overpriced at the moment because of the olympics but apart from that it's alright. Plenty of shops and great transport links. I've found that Leytonstone has more of a community vibe to it, better pubs and is generally more laid back. Worth looking around there for a bargain.

A lot of the pubs I used to frequent in Stratford are now all dead and gone, boarded up and derelict

heh well turns out i'm not moving there now cos we were too slow to make an offer on the flat and now it's gone haha...
