That is amazing! Never seen or heard anything like it. Bigup the constables for actually staying true to their oath, they must have been loving it.

Haha, interesting to see it actually get tested. There's a dude on RaveTalk was supposedly going Freeman. The guys in the video have got some balls!
Whilst it is really impressive to find loopholes like that and exploit it and I like the Citizen Smith attitude of them all, but I still don't get the point of becoming a 'Freeman On The Land'... I pretty much dig most of what my taxes pay for apart from wars. I'm not actually sure this will amount to much more than a few awkward sittings in court and a few YouTube hits...

Fair enough. Take it you've given up your GP and any subsidised University education etc?
I like that I pay for people to go to school.

i havent seen a gp in years
i'd be perfectly happy to give money as a sort of tax as long as i was assured it was going on education/health/emergency services etc
but it isn't, its going on funding illegal wars, paying for corrupt politicians to tart up their houses etc
plus i don't agree with the need for money, which is another story, but it is why i think taxes are wrong PERIOD
i see it as enslavement, but that's just me

Cool, I can totally empathise with the logic. War makes me despair most days.
I liked this John Stewart quote the other week though:
"Paying taxes is like going to the zoo. Admission is 20 bucks. You can't walk in and say 'Here's 18.50. I don't like zebras.'"
But yeah, it doesn't help much if you think the whole system of having money is wrong.

No offence hackman, quite the opposite, but you come across as though someone has literally flipped a switch in your head that has made you politically aware. Just going off all your new threads later
You should look up some stuff on socialism and taxation, btw. Such as how tax supportts the maintenance and advancing the interests of the propertied, bourgeoisie and ruling classes, as well as protecting them. Harry Quelch wrote some good stuff on it.

none taken
politics doesn't interest me at all, it's all just a barrier to spiritual evolution
anything that allows or could allow me to get myself out of the machine excites me, the aim is to be fully self sufficient without being financially shackled to government
will check that stuff though when I get a minute
