New DJ looking for first CDJ's

So I've been researching CDJ's and here's what I've come up with so far. Pioneer seems to be the front runner, but much more pricey. I found some Denon products that seemed to be ok. The Denon DN-S3500 or Denon DN-S3000 seem to be close to my price range and around what I'm looking for. Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2 are also in there but are at pretty much the top of my price range. One other unit I was looking at is the Numark NDX 800. However, I read that this one can only function one deck at a time as a controller hooked up to a computer. This is a big turn off for me, but the deck seems like it is solid and definitely more in my price range. Another one I was looking at is the pioneer cdj 400. The small size of the jog wheel turns me off on this one.

A little background information on me, I have been mixing/dj'ing for about 5 or 6 months. It's possible in the near future I'll be preforming for local club shows. So I want something reliable and mobile. As far as the deck goes, I want something that can easily do loops, cue points, a few effects (hi-low, flanger, etc..), nice jog wheel to learn on. Basically just a good mid level deck that does a little of everything. It would also be nice if it could be used as a controller, however this is not a deal breaker.

My question is out of the decks I mentioned, do you own any of them? Any advice on which to buy and why?

Thanks in advance for you're advice/opinion.

The numark deck is the front runner for me right now. Does anyone own this deck?

PIONEER OR BUST. Seriously, don't go with anything other than Pioneer if you want to take this seriously.

I agree with Pioneer being the ones to go for (800s or 1000s) if you can afford them

Denon seem to be the only other manufacturer making quality players. If you go for them, just make sure you work out the minor differences in operation before going out to a gig and using Pioneer's for the first time!
