AIRFLEX LABS NEWS : Gritt / Nekochan / Hubwar

Post by brain agency » Sun Mar 28, 2010 11:57 pm

Dear supporters and friends,

2009 has been a great year, our first vinyl release finally hit the racks in spring, gaining support from sound pionneers such as Bunzero, Rob booth, Warlock, MAH and Boxcutter....

We also started off our digital releases during fall with NEKOCHAN's debut E.P. And LED PIPERZ 's second assault... And - of course - we have been busy listening to demos, attending parties, playing live acts and dj sets, seeking new talents out and setting perspectives for our future.
2010 started in a pretty hectic way with GRITT's manic ARX005D 'Hell yeah' EP - released in january (we strongly recommend you check it, if you haven't done so yet...)

ARX004 - NEKOCHAN - MINIMAL BUMP 12"
Nekochan's first vinyl OUT NOW !

NEKOCHAN's first vinyl output is available – the three-track killer ‘Minimal Bump’ EP will surely reconfigure notions of what bass music can be. The dark techno breakstep title track Minimal Bump has already been featured on Mary Anne Hobbs and loads of Djs.
On the flipside, the lighter Vahiné was playlisted by our mighty friend Bunzer0 on his subFM FOB show last fall.
The third track Bombine reveals further layers to Nekochan’s innate musical instincts, in a melodic an trip-hop dubstep essay re-inforced by a smashing vocal performance.

Check it ! These are essential tunes for anyone seeking out new directions in heavy dancefloor electronics, as well as vocal bass music.

ARX006D - HUBWAR - BACK FROM THE SHADOWS EP

Hubwar's First EP OUT NOW !

Image

Also available right now, Hubwar's debut effort on Airflex Labs who's delivering two highly organic rolling stompers on this digital-only EP. Backed up with flutes and percussions, Back from the Shadows is Anthony Batlle's initiation rite into the world of bass music. And in an equally inspired manner, HubWarped Mind starts off on a slightly sadder note before it proves to be a proper bassheavy and relentless, anthemic tune. proper earworm to say the least.
A surprisingly fresh blend of dancefloor bass music with ethnic, tribal and deep ambiances.
