Hi. I am playing at a club this weekend where the main floor will be "electropop, pop". It's not announced anywhere (not flyers, homepage or Facebook event) that it will be dubstep on the other floor so it will probably not be the usual crowd.
What do you think I should play? Am I screwed or is there dubstep everyone likes, even those who have not heard it at all before?
Sorry if there's another thread about this. I searched but couldn't find any.

stuff like joker, new hyperdub (wonky, funky). you can also use secret techniques: Emalkay - When I Look at You, Joker - Tron, Chase & Status - Eastern Jam, La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream Remix) etc.

Just play wobbles if you have to mate, rusko, chase & status, skream, jakes all that shit.
Or if there's a nice system just get you and your mates in their have a private bar and play shit loads of DMZ and pretend your just having a mix in your bedroom.

Heres some rather comercial dubstep remixs of electro/dance/pop songs that should go down well. try mixing it up with some garage to get the babes on the dancefloor! Girls love garage and once theres girls dancing the floor should up rather quickly, this is what i do when dubstep isnt going so well. what decks u got?
Chromeo - Night by Night (Skream Remix)
Attaca Pesante, Shea soul - Make it funky for me (Rusko Remix)
Crookers ft Wiley & TJ - Businessman (DZ Remix)
Deadmau5 Dub remixs e.g. ghosts n stuff (Nero), i remember (Caspa) etc.
George Lenton - One last time (Daft Punk Remix)
Basement Jaxx - Raindrops (Doorlys Dubstep Remix)

Yeah everyone's pretty much summed it up.
As you're playing a type of genre they're probably not aware of, playing some mainstream tunes will get them going - though make sure to include the 'mainstream' dubstep like Caspa and Rusko.

Just go with the remixes mainly. Keep the crowd happy......then throw in a proper dub track every third tune or something!!
I play this in my car all the time and people who don't even like electronic music always ask what it is.
thats not necessarily a good thing. in this case id guess not.

Probably play bootleg remixes of popular tunes. I hate that shit which probably why I wouldn't even bother with the gig but thats me!
