seriously. it seems like all the dubstep events these days, in sheffield at least, play nothing but filthy wobblers.
i wanna go out and hear some propper dubstep, some deep subby shit. this cheese grater bullshit is too much to handle
if anyone agrees and wants to maybe try and organise a propper oldschool dubstep night in sheffield i'd deffinetly be on helping out

Huh?
Wee Bit Mean just did two nights at the beginning of March with
Darkstar, Rudi Zygadlo, Hyetal, Untold and
James Blake at DQ. There's good stuff in Sheffield if you know where to look.

Me and a friend tried very hard for a few months to start a night, but theres an huge lack of good venues in sheffield.

There is quite a few possibles surely?
Harley, plug, DQ, basement? Unless these only organise their own events which I doubt

Saturday 3rd April at the Harley, Sheff

reggae, roots, rocksteady, dancehall and dubstep.
gonna be tasty on the Sequoia rig.
come on down an ave a skank
We're on every month at Harley and although we dont really book big name dubstep djs, we do play a lot of it, and we don't play the chainsaw...

We tried the Harley (liked the idea of the night, like the brand, but wanted more experienced promoters), DQ ('the market is saturated'), plug was too expensive, we even tried Penelope's but they weren't up for it. Never heard of basement.
We'll probably give it another go next september.

SO THEN DONT EVEN OPEN THE THREAD ....
if it angers you so much, then why would you even have opened the thread after reading the title ? I just wonder because people get so much flak for posting their frustration with angry borgore type dubstep , but its a totally legitimate claim , that shit is getting played to death by everyone right now, and it all sounds like
exactly the same robotic fart over half time drums . I'm sorry but that is a legit thing to complain about. fuckin robot fart over half time drums for a few hours, yeah im gonna be pissed about it too. maybe not pissed enough to post about it, but i wouldnt shout anyone down for posting how they feel .
honestly, just dont read the thread if youre so annoyed. life does indeed go on
ALSO, back on topic, just research the nights a bit better next time. check out the artists playing the night. I for one just dont go to nights where i know its gonna be a clownfest.
