I Don't 'do' musicals, and I don't really want to watch The Book of Eli as am not into Christian bible bashers (would watch it though if I could find a good DVDR or Screener of it, just cam copies atm) :D

Seen them both, but you're along the right lines. I fancy something sci-fi-ish but I don't know what!

I am trying to think the name of a Spanish film I watched a couple of years ago, it was about a group of people who thought luck was something that could be traded and gathered. It was excellent and quite far out but I am buggered if I can remember the name of it :(

Seen Stalker and the rest of Tarkovsky's films, I haven't seen Das Experiment... I'll go and look for it!

I may well watch that, I have it on DVD too. Love it!

(What did you think of that book, btw? I am reading Black Man at the moment and it's pretty good but not the same calibre as Altered Carbon).

Dead Man's Shoes was the darkest film I've ever seen. It's the only film where I can remember it finishing, and just sitting there staring, puffing on a cigarette for a while - wide-eyed and disturbed.

A Prophet, watched it on the plane home and it was easily the best gangster saga I've seen since Eastern Promises.

Real talk, watch this movie even if you don't like anime. Mind-blowing shit. From wiki:
The theme of dissociative identity disorder is prevalent throughout the film, wherein the nature of characters and events are ambiguous and often cryptically portrayed. Symptoms of DID include among others, the distortion or loss of time, depersonalization, amnesia, derealization, flashbacks and hallucinations
