Twitter?

Has Twitter actually benefited you in anyway whatsoever? On any level, be it personal or business?
Or are you on some irrelevant tweeting flex - "I'm going to the store to buy an Oh Henry bar. Peanut butter Oh Henry at that"

I don't tweet, I just follow.
It keeps me up to date with artists and shiz.
Get some interesting things posted/said.

I got in contact with a label through twitter. I've spoken to producers who I otherwise wouldn't have. I've got free tunes because of it. I've got mixes through it. I get more info in general because of it.

you can do all of those thing on other sites
plus you can always rely on someone to post up any (rarely) good info from tweets on here

Some of the artists I follow (Zinc, for example) give away a shit load of free tunes via their Soundcloud page w/ limited d'loads, so having Twitter alerts me to that.
Also a good way of keeping in touch with people who I don't necessarily want on my Facebook friends list.

I get what it was originally, to communicate a message to a group of people instantly via a mobile, I just don't like what it is today, it's now the equivalent of someone on a bus shouting "LOOK AT ME EVERYONE, I CAN TALK LOUDER AND MORE OFTEN THAN YOU".
