I had this about a month a go, and lasted a couple of weeks. I think writers block comes when you do nothing but make music in your spare time, and it's really frustrating because i know all you want to do is make tunes. What i found helped the most was taking some time out from writing music for a week or so. I concentrated on learning some new songs on the piano, did some mixing for the first time in ages etc. Then after a week or so when i sat back down at the computer i was ready to go and smashed a tune out in a matter of days =)

stop making music seriously. I just dropped it all for two months - and at first I had random urges to fire up a DAW but resisted. This music making business isn't some Golden Eye, "I have to decode the computer files in 2 seconds" shit. Or some MI5 situation.
Just drop it and do other things. Soon you'll have enough ideas gwannin.

I think the problem with most electronic music is that people are often uninspired yet still sit down and try to force something out when the well is dry.
Don't listen to other people's shit, especially if it's the same genre as you're going for.
Don't watch a shit movie and think "I'll sample this and make it into a choon" because that's what every other tnuc does.
Don't change DAWS. You'll just make something that's still uninspiring, albeit with less familiarity with your tool set.
Don't shove drugs up your arse and think that you're suddenly creative, because you're not. You're really a tedious stoner making tiresome stoner music and you'll realize this when you play it back sober.
Go and do something else.
Go for a walk.
Walk somewhere where you usually take the bus, or a train or drive.
Go and look at old homes being demolished.
Go and look at lots that have been vacant for years and wonder if they'll ever build there.
Look at boarded up shops.
Go to a gallery.
Go look at paintings.
Go and experience some architecture.
Go and cash your dole cheque.
Go and feel something.
Come home and write what you're feeling.

+ 1. Search through a bunch of samples / older tracks / different styles of music - sample a couple of bars, mess with them.

Do something not-music related. (sports, drawing, maybe some gaming) Just clear your mind, and forget about music for just a little while, till you get some new inspiration, or feel likeyou can have another go at it :3

Sex, drugs, booze, life etc. Once you get back to that stuff, you'll be full of ideas in no time.
