Well, i want to start Mixing dubstep and i have no idea where to start. I was looking at CD mixers, the numark ones looks pretty good. However is this the right course of action. What else would i need?

You'd need a mixer aswell and obviously an amp and speakers so you could hear what you're playing. And headphones!
Might wanna go down the digital route as in djing through your laptop/desktop with a programme like Traktor/Serato/Deckadance etc. or even djing with Ableton Live where you could also make your own tunes to play out alongside others.

YOur on the right track, you want a numark CDMIX2, preferably one, when the front face and knobs are still black, the color scheme changed with the fade design and preamps, not a good upgrade inside even if the shells look prettier.

You want SOMETHING on your PC or laptop cpable of live processing a signal with effects on this route, as the NumArks dont have any effects in mixer. You send the master out of your mixer, into an input on your pc, through effets, and then back out your PCs output. I use fl's mic routing for this, and then just the default plugs for my creative shit and peak limiting n shit...

Def. the way to go if your strapped for cash, and you can do some serious mixing with it all once you get the flow of it...

Oh... you might want some kinda midi controller (korg nanokontrol) to work effects, but its not nessary.

And once you get good, use deckadance or something alongside your cdjs... now... your a 4 player dj

i'm sorry but if you get a cdmix test it before you leave the store. seen so many of em have problems and numark is almost impossible to get ahold of. numark is like the behringer of entry level dj shit imo.
basic sounds like he got a good one imo
