Hey guys, getting into writing some dubby choons (Reason 4 into Logic 8 ), getting some crazy good bass sound out of the thor, just having trouble getting a good sounding kick to do it justice...

Anyone know of any good sources for kick samples? I know its a matter of looking (I have been), thought I would try here as you peeps know what kicks are good for the style of music I am making (on somewhat of a Rottun tip, [definitely not into biting styles though]).

Or any producers feel like sending me their fully sick kick wavs?

it depends on what sort tunes your making but I have to say this wave alchemy's club kicks is the best kick drum sample pack I've ever heard, check it out here:

to be a little more specific i take influence from labels like basspunch, screwloose (culprate!), rottun (downlink pretty much rawks), betamorph... pretty much just fat night time orientated in ya face type shit...

vengeance has a website, just search it. i'd recommend loopmasters, as they have better prices and way more selection. again, just search it. takes a second.

can anybody recommend a good pack or particular sample in vengeance?

Can't recommend packs or anything, but I find layering a good hardcore kick in under whatever you're using can sound pretty good.

Also if you're using reason 4 i'd recommend using some scream distortion. It's amazing how easy it is to get nice kicks using scream distortion and some decent EQing.
