Recently picked up a pair of 1210's and a Vestax VMX200 and until today it's been working perfectly. However over night 1 of the channels on the mixer seems to have just broken. When I play a tune I get no response of the level meter whatsoever however you can hear really quitely some audio coming out through the speakers. Switched around the wires to make sure it wasn't the turntable but it's definetly just that 1 channel. Thought it might be something really basic like a switch or a knob that got accidently turned but the way a tiny bit of audio is coming out rather than nothing is baffling. Checked the wireing and everything and that's alright but I thought I swing by here and see if any ones got any ideas before I try to get it repaired or buy a new mixer...
Cheers.

Re: Channel broken on mixer?
have u checked the fuse
((its by the power input on your mixer) not the one in the plug)
sounds like you rinsed the gain lol
either that or the brushes have gone on the fader (buy a new fader)
or ... the cables connecting to the fader have come loose (open with a screwdriver and check)
pray its nothing else
and check you not doing something really dumb like
having line 1 selected
rather than phono 1
and your cables are plugged into the correct inputs on the mixer
