VERSION builds on the solid foundation set by VARIOUS, Portland's premier Dubstep Dance party (established 2006) and brings the vibes uptown to Holocene.
With an emphasis on the Dancehall elements inherent in Dubstep music, Version expands the ideas of what Dubstep is, was and can be.

ALTER ECHO http://www.myspace.com/alterechodub
Alter Echo is a Dub technician of the highest caliber. As a founding partner in the groundbreaking Portland based label BSI Records, a producer and musician, collaborator and remixer, Alter Echo has established himself firmly in the top ranks of Dubwise producers world wide. His skills as a recording and mixing engineer, honed at studios in New York City, have led him to become the engineer of choice in the hip hop and electronic dance music communities burgeoning across the Northwest, recording and/or mixing numerous tracks and albums from The Lifesavas, Libretto, Boom Bap Project, and more. Derry is not merely a part of the hip hop/electronica movement here in the Northwest, but rather an architect of the sound, which is gaining in notoriety world wide each year.

This is not a dj set; Alter Echo will be dubbing it live in the mix. When we last heard AE play at Various with Jagga on the mic, it was beyond belief!
