Plastician - Sound That Speaks Volumes - 2011 link now up

Post by plastician » Thu Apr 29, 2010 4:06 pm

Easy all,

Just a heads up. As many of you may or may not know, every year in May I give away a free mix which were always referred to as the May Mix. I've done this annually for some time now, and as this year will be the 5th annual mix, I decided to do something special.

Initially I wanted to release a proper mixed compilation to ensure all artists deservedly earned some money for allowing me to use their tracks in the mix, but what with there being so many compilations either out there now or in the process of being compiled, it would have been difficult to put something truly inspiring together without having to make cutbacks. So eventually I shelved the idea.

I decided to rename the mix series as well, a lot of people stumble across the May Mix as its found its way around the internet over the years, and I'm often asked "where is this month's mix" or "where is the october 2008 mix". To avoid confusion and hopefully to help stamp the fact that this is an annual occurence, I've decided to name the mix "Sound That Speaks Volumes" this year is the 2010 edition obviously!!

And, to mark the occasion of the 5th anniversary, I will be pressing copies of the mix for the first time onto CD. As a thank you to everyone who has enjoyed the May mixes over the years, and helped spread the mix online to thousands of ears every year, I will be pressing 10,000 copies of the mix and they will be given away completely free.

Big up everyone for the support over the last 5 years and I hope you enjoy "Sound That Speaks Volumes 2010" as much as you've enjoyed the previous annual mixes.

So here it is...... Available as a 55 minute mix track or a .rar file of individual track tagged mp3's

This sounds great.
I'm one of those persons who enjoyed May mixes over these years and i wonder if it is possible to have a copy here in Peru. Obviously i'll be able to download the mix but I think the physicist would have something special for me.
Without any expectation of a positive response, thank you in advance.

Nice one!

Been speaking to lots of labels and producers and so far everything has been given the thumbs up so there's nothing holding the mix back in terms of what I have to choose from track wise.

Been collecting riddims this week so expect some really fresh stuff on there this year, with a nice blend of grime back on the menu for 2010!!

Just got to work out a way to mix them all together and make it flow properly now!
