By and large, turntablism has no place in the world of dubstep.

Turntablism can enhance any music done correctly. Just that it's such an advanced artform it has to be done extremely well to have any decent effect.

IMO of course.

In extremely small doses, maybe. In practice it usually takes over whatever form of music it's originally intended to enhance.

Err my only gripe is it takes a bit of practice to get your skratching tempo from 95-105bpm to 135-145bpm..

little bits e.g. 1 click flare or tears + echo/delay fx sounds pretty sweet over minimalist beats. less is more an all that.

you could always just drop the skratch tempo down to 70 bpm. it be dope to see some beat or horn juggling over 'Broken Home'.

youngsta used to drop the odd beat juggle on his rinse sets, never live to my knowledge, and not so much at all these days from wat i've heard of his recent radio sets.

if you like the way it sounds then go for it.

imo it takes something away from the subtleness of the music. it always kinda bugs me when i hear djs scratching in house and techno sets. i guess the same would go for dubstep. never really been one for showboating though. it's not necessary and it feels out of place. just my opinion.
