good to see, though i wish he'd covered more canadian stuff. it was the same when he wrote about grime 2 years ago. i'd love to see the cbc start recognizing this stuff as a real presence in canada and therefore worthy of more (and recurring) air time, not one off reports.

i was the one he interviewed. we spoke for a few hours, so there was a lot covered. i figured he'd go more in depth about the canadian scene, as we spoke about that quite a bit, but whatever, subtrac gets the mention and at this point i guess that's good enough for me!

Producers need to start uploading shit to NewMusicCanada.com. That is the only way they'll see more airtime. i can't believe they did in BNW like that. they haven't got a clue. they should be looking to 1xtra for ideas - ie making it a network that a broad section of younger people would actually listen to before midnight - rather than dumping all of the 'youth' stuff onto a satellite channel that no 'youth' will be willing to pay for. the odd after dinner sloan concert isn't going to save a sinking ship from the indifference of the ascendant demographic ffs.

Fantastic job by the writer, i honestly dont think that even the BBC could of pulled of an article that is so well informed. Big up for that CBC.
I do truly beieve that the Global exosure that Dubstep has had around the world owes a lot to D&B though, it kind of layed the foundations of urban London music to a lot of people which means we are going to see more and more promoters from countries like America, Aus, NZ, Brazil and Eastern Europe booking UK acts. I'm sure D&B only has 18 months to 2 years left of popularity (some may disagree) so roll on the Dubstep years...........................

As long as the median age of management is over 50+, they may never sort their shit out.

Nice. I agree with some of aformentioned posts regarding lack of Canadian
content, but nonetheless, a solid piece of journalism. Once again proper respect due to the Crew pushing the sound across the North.
