well, hopefully it won't be too long before I can use the DEMO, yes the freaking demo has a heap of liciencing BS you gotta wade through, it's just ridiculas!

anyway, if I don't make it tonight, is it any good for the (don't start the hate please) brostep/jumpup-dubstep or whatever you want to call it. do you get more controll over FM8?

dont really want to start a brostep thread in fear of it getting locked
so I'll just change the topic to, is it worth 199 euros? that's 171 pounds (just under a weeks wages for me!!)

never tried FM8 but I can defo vouch for Blue, not too complicated, load of useful features and it doesn't take long to get used to. worth the money imo (then again I got it pretty cheap)

/\ This guy fucking loves Blue.

I used to use it when FL studio was my main daw, i've moved to reason now so it and FL get a bit neglected, but from what I remember it's a great little vst.

Used to be my main synth, really easy to get some nice sounds out of it and really adaptable as well.

was messing about with the demo, this is what ive come up with (for the brostep fans only)
blue_and_renoise_wobblelibrary.wav
at the end my Blue fx chain I HPF'd the whole thing and added a seperate sinewave the same pitch afterwards.

FAO cookie monsta, I know your secret now :P bandpass filter un-synced lfo, comb filters + resampling x 10 :P :P

i keep discovering more things, the mod matrix is just ............. can't think of words!!!

it's kinda brostep-in-a-box for me. although Im sure you can get other sounds out of it, I promised a dude a pic tutorial on all things brostep for Blue, but I'll think i'll try and get a youtube video together, I don't care if there allready is one, mine's gonna be very detailed!

blue is great
prefer it as a novice synth over massive all day for noobie recommendations

Finally laid my hands on it

great little vst.

id love to see an Albino-like version of the synth, with layers and audio ins and that type of sickass stuff. but yeah, i guess blue is more about fast and more basic tweaks (superficially speakin... still really tweakable)..

im prolly gonna make kontakt instruments out of it so i can benefit the highly tweakable lfos and extensive playability of kontakt (which i love)

heres a couple questions :

-is there a way to set the lfos to retrigger ???

- anyone has some thoughts to share on their favourite routing configurations?
--Personally i like to keep one oscillator aside from the rest so it serves as a sub (no 25 and above i think)... i rarely do in other synths (which i use for the treble and bass then dub with an albino sub)... but with blu i find it really beefs up the sound nicely...

anyways.. great tool
