sorry not really,
if you can't sing you have 2 choices: -
1. Learn
2. Use that autotune effect

guess ya can just stay sounding shit then bro! melodyne or autotune + reverb are about as good as ur guna get. there are no tricks to sounding good! i mean trick is too use auto tune in a dif freq to your own voice & bang that on another track. but really your better off getting someone else to do vox for ya

Mate seriously, you can use melodyne to get your vocals hitting the right pitch but you need to be able to sing something to start with.
You wouldn't expect to get a crap drum kit and put it through fx to try and "fix" it, you'd choose a good kit, spend time getting it to sound right before recording it and then use processing if it needed it.
I'm not saying you can't improve the result without processing but the biggest improvement you could make is to get it right at the source

Basically as far as effects go autotune or melodyne. But as the ancient production proverb goes: you can't polish a turd. If your voice isn't great I'd recommend getting singing lessons (in fact have a look at these
http://www.beatbox.be/foras/viewtopic.php?t=3074) either that or get someone you know who has a good voice to sing. Effects will only go so far and often end up sound unnatural.

there are lots of singing tutorials online, maybe worth spending some time with them.

Just go robovoice, get a vocoder or if you play guitar a talkbox. There are voice altamacation machines out there that will make you sound like anything, a girl, an old man, satan, whateves. And it can put you in tune as well. But as you probably guessed that shit aint cheap.
Or just get some lessons and practice.

sorry,
you want to sound like justin timberlake, or borgore? are they interchangeable now?
but yeah, no polishing turds. try it for yourself, melodyne/autotune, reverb, compression, low cut... it wont sound any better than a good singer.

borgore can't sing or rap man, he just says crass but amusing stuff over the top of his music
that's a route anybody can go down

well you could use a vocoder effect like daft punk or something. Maybe autotune followed by screaming distortion and a massive flanger so it sounds like a plane taking of and landing constantly.
