the fuck is the minstry of sound but the worst part of dance music? it's the money making machine arse fucking dance music with it's endless cd's and bullshit! and what has it ever done for dubstep? i had respect for Get Darker releasing theres, shit i even purchased them, because they are working hard to create and nurture the music they love and their tracklisting didn't include 4 fucking doorly remix's!!!!! Minstry are just jumping on the bandwagon with more money behind it so they can chuck it at 14 year olds and say 'look kids buy this and you can look really cool infornt of your mates because you listen to an unknown urban music genre, that'll be £9.99 that most likely won't go to any of the artists and we'll see you in 6 months for the next one with little to almost no change to the tracklisting'Ennayess wrote:why?AntlionUK wrote:this has got a half incredible tracklisting and a half shit one.

Pathetic, agree'd it's a kick in the bollox to your genre, but it really is pathetic that you'd get upset and angry because it's getting so big. Granted that constant radio play and adverts on the idiot box make you get bored of a few songs, but surely you'd be more happy that the genre's 'progressing'. It'd mean much more releases, more funding for labels and also it'd make it much easier to obtain the music in local shops. This isn't really a big blow to the genre as it's now associated with a generation of MKAT hoovering kids, playing it on the back of their school bus off their Iphones. In my opinion Dubstep got boring when it became a competition for who can apply the most LFO to the Cutoff.AntlionUK wrote:the fuck is the minstry of sound but the worst part of dance music? it's the money making machine arse fucking dance music with it's endless cd's and bullshit! and what has it ever done for dubstep? i had respect for Get Darker releasing theres, shit i even purchased them, because they are working hard to create and nurture the music they love and their tracklisting didn't include 4 fucking doorly remix's!!!!! Surely though if you enjoy the music, why would you actually care about who listens to what and for what reason ect..Lichee wrote:The thing is you will still know more than them anyway. My mate is proper into Cragga and i think fair play because at least there is someone else with even a remote knowledge of dubstep. It's gay that it's getting big but imagine every dubstep artist stopped releasing music because they don't want anyone apart from themselves listening to it? you would be pissed. This situation isn't too disimilar, you can't stop someone listening to something. In then end, you know more.

Oh wait... laptop DJ.

Not a huge fan of Doorly's tunes, but he's a pretty good turntablist surprisingly enough. Puts on a wicked showwolf89 wrote:Doorly is on it

like i said, it's the minstry of sound stamp. i don't mind the genre getting bigger it the fact that people that start abusing it for money that fucks me off.psylent wrote:Pathetic, agree'd it's a kick in the bollox to your genre, but it really is pathetic that you'd get upset and angry because it's getting so big. Is that a counter argument to me because surely you're just agreeing with me? I agree, ye you will get loads of idiots thinking they know it all now they have the album but you will also get people who have never listened to dubstep and bring something new to the scene. The more influences and people involved the better.psylent wrote:Surely though if you enjoy the music, why would you actually care about who listens to what and for what reason ect..Lichee wrote:The thing is you will still know more than them anyway. It's not hard to just listen to the bits you enjoy and skip listening to artists or tracks you don't like?
