Dillinja used to make his basslines heavy by sampling them through fuct amps/speakers. also an oldskool trick to generate a fat bassline was to hold a microphone behind the back of a TV (something to do with static) and press record :o

Actually, it could work! You get some wicked sounds when re-amping stuff. Running a bass through a fucked speaker and holding a mic up to it adds nice flab. It makes it sounds like the speaker cab is about to fall apart.
