Seriously HTC legend or Desire > Blackberry.
In comparison to iPhone would say they were about equal and depends on what you need to do most.

It is only acceptable to own a BB if you've got it for work purposes.
It's never acceptable to own an Iphone.
It phones...it texts...and it slides
I've also dropped it in water twice (well...once was beer), and it still lives after a couple of airing cupboard sessions.

In work, blackberry all day everyday. EMail functionality smashes the iPhone. No one can say anything.
For personal, iPhone. Bare apps, next level touch screen interaction.
I seen people raving about the HTC Desire, looks like a sexy phone for sure.
