Exeter/Exmouth. Deep End & R8's Outlook Warm Up BOAT Party!

Post by dj_mystery » Tue May 25, 2010 3:24 pm

OUTLOOK FESTIVAL-
Warming up to Europe's Largest Bass Culture & Dubstep Festival, OUTLOOK, we're putting on our first ever boat party next month! A Deep End boat party's been long overdue anyway, and it's a fitting tribute to the legendary boat parties that set sail daily at Outlook festival.
We're getting together a huge South West crew to hit Outlook festi this year, so check the link below to see the line up (it's stoooooopid!). Rogue State & Junglist Alliance are amongst the line up, and I'm dead chuffed to be playing there myself this year too. It'll be great to have lots of our Deep End raving pals out there with us, showing support. A few of us went last year and had the most amazing raving holiday imaginable!

It's being held on an abandoned fort on a beautiful stretch of Croatian coastline this year, from Thurs 2nd - Sun 5th September.
Tickets for Outlook Festival 2010 are only £89 + bf from

The Deep End & R8 Records Present:
The Outlook Warm Up Party.
Friday June 4th 2010
We're proud to announce the return of R8 records' label bosses, Rogue State & Alex Deadman. This time they're bringing down one of R8's finest signings, Deadbeat + local hero, Deep End resident & fellow R8 label mate, Dutty Dan, to run an R8 Records label party as our Room 1, aboard The Pride Of Exmouth. These boys have been killing it up in Sheffield for years, (Bassline's spiritual home!) pushing their own take on the Niche/Bassline sound, infusing elements of Dubstep, Garage, Ragga, Grime, Old Skool, Jungle, and more recently, UK Funky. They've destroyed dancefloors at the Hub and the Phoenix already, and they're back to rock the boat once again!
Check their myspace for a taste of what's to come. You're in for a treat!

TRANSPORT
Getting there-
Train travel from Exeter to Exmouth and back's a piece of piss.
Train departs Exeter Central @ 6.24pm & arrives Exmouth @ 6.52pm
We'll be boarding the boat from 7pm. It'll leave bang on 7.30pm so don't cut it too fine, however you're getting there...
Getting back-
If our boat docks at bang on 11pm, those in a rush to make the after party might be able to get on the 11.10pm train from Exmouth, arriving at Exeter Central at 11.36pm. Alternatively, the next train leaves at 12.02am and gets in to Exeter Central at 12.27am. There's plenty of pubs in Exmouth to stop off at for a drink between 11 and 12...! Most of us will probably stop at the Wetherspoons for a bit.

A return train ticket from Exeter to Exmouth is only £3.40
