Ableton - Cant access 'Impulse' via my 'Instruments Folder'

As a new Ableton Live 8 user I hope there is someone else out there, who was in my position or anyone else, that can help me... Basically I am not long after starting the 'Creating Beats' lesson... but it was not long before I met a problem... I started a new 'Live Set' and then tried to click into my 'Instruments Folder', but absolutely nothing is happening when I click on it... No idea what is going on... Please help...

Make sure you are actually trying to use impulse with a MIDI track and not an AUDIO track
Double click on it or drag it into the appropriate spot on the MIDI channel
