This guy made awesome tunes and I crave more, I've got one free set of his and it's the only thing I ever caught him posting about on the forum then everybody seemed to boy him off because he sounded a bit like Burial.

Can't seem to find him on any social networks these days either.

Oh, nice! I'll be checking that out. Is he not doing his own thing at all anymore?

He was just a guy with skills making some burial influenced stuff, and then he moved on as far as i know

I agree, Roqqert comes up with some amazing stuff. I actually talked to him not so long ago, and he told me he's actually planning to release an EP of his work under Rob Sparx's lable, as well as Give It.

Sorry, I was just talking from what I saw, not in confidence that what I was saying was necessarily correct. By 'own thing' I assumed that this plant pot stuff was a collaboration of some kind... But maybe I'm wrong?

He did make some very nice tunes. Didn't people just hate on him for sounding too much like burial?

Been a long while coming as I've got lots of other projects on the go but I am finally working on some of Roqquerts tunes as collabs so I can make them more dancefloor friendly without changing the sound too much. The last year or so has seen the scene change quite a bit and I've had to drop a lot of deeper material and can no longer really guarantee any "progressive" releases on my label but im finishing these tunes anyway for DJing anyway.

I really don't see what the big deal is when someone "sounds" like someone else. People are so quick to point it out, but has anyone ever thought that maybe that is their sound? I just don't understand how one single person can technically own one particular sound or style. I mean there's not a whole lot of things you can do, musically, that are new and can ever truly be considered, "Yours". Even if his style was similar to that of Burial, it's just possible that this is the sound that is just him and sort of just comes out naturally.
