hi all

i have a quick question ive done a little remix that i would like some opinions/ advice on, but ive only been producing 12 weeks so i didnt want to upload to work in progress as its just practise really. and also i dont think im in a position to give others advise on their tracks as i dont know much! lol ive pasted the link in here as i have uploaded it to soundcloud. if i am doing something wrong or my post upsets the mods just delete or lock it and ill post where you advise... Thank you

However seeing as I am in the thread

There are some nice elements in there but they get a bit lost at different times when different things are playing. I would recommend cutting the low end out of your pad sounds to create more room for a subbass; I couldn't hear a proper sub layered in there so I would suggest adding one - leave plenty of space for this by not having everything else too loud in your mixdown.

To add some life to your drums I would have a little bit of bus reverb, just to give them a shimmer

The quicker you start sharing your stuff to a large amount of people, the better the responses you will start to receive. I think that even the most advanced producers' tracks in the world are still 'just practice', there's never a limit to what you can learn when it comes to music!

1. As a new producer, I think a lot of advanced producers would appreciate your advice. To them, you're 'just a listener', which is one of the most important types of people a producer can have listening to their music, because you will know how the music sounds without having too much knowledge of 'how it should sound' in terms of production value. So, as an art, you can define whether or not a track sounds good without any production knowledge. After all, the majority of producers will be targeting their music at general listeners, not producers specifically.

2. The quicker you get involved in that thread, the quicker you'll start picking up the lingo and guidelines involved in making your tracks sound better
