Still kinda cheese though, that Johnny Cage bit especially. A washed up actor going undercover... reminds me of Team America haha. Part of the reason Mortal Kombat was so great was the fantasy and multiverse type stuff, Outworld, gods, etc. Modernizing it is a good idea, but it really takes something away IMO. Still, it could be good if it were to become something bigger. They would need some really good writing but I would love to see them have a go.

Bumping this dusty topic for a good cause: the first episode is out
The series is called Mortal Kombat: Legacy and it's going to be a mini web series of 9 episodes , here is the youtube channel to keep up to date
