I can't get a bass sound like on the UKF Dubstep tutorial. I've been messing around with a few VST's but I just can't get the same sound
here's a link:

You can hear the bass after 0:45. Can anyone help?

The one at exactly 0:51. It almost sounds like an electric guitar
EDIT: I think I almost have it, 3 saw oscillators. Not sure though.

good choice-

mess around with the type of sound on the oscillator (sine, square, etc.)

the scream, crusher, and deep throat ones are sick- they can probably help yo get that sound ;)

For those that also might want this sound. The closest I can get is:
3 saw oscillators ( Sq-saw II for all 3 in Massive) pitch -24 and formant on all
Phase on 1st osc
LFO - xfade between sine and zigzag rate just slightly faster than 1:16
Cutoff about 3/4 but low range

Yup, FM is the shit!! If you're using Ableton then just sod massive off and get your head around Operator!! that is one bad ass mofo - alternatively I hear FM8 is a bit of a beast, had a go on the demo but Operators combination of FM and analog makes it simple but effective and I couldnt get tones I wanted, recon if you got he hang of FM8 you'd just about be able to take over the world with your basslines.
