Irrational fears

I am afraid of two things, coronal mass ejections and split level houses.

The former causes me constantly surveil http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/SWN/

The latter if only because of the grade level windows. A deer could smash thru and be trapped in there with me, thrashing about and spilling whatnot on my nice carpets perhaps?
I grew up in a split level house and was constantly on the lookout for such barrages.

I don't think thats very irrational. If a whale came up to me I would shit myself.

Personally I'm scared of the dentist, spiders, mess, and money.

The only irrational one is spiders I guess, they're obviously puny and could do me no harm but they scare the the shit out of me. If I see one I set my cats on it.

I am kind of afraid of spiders whilst also kind of fucking loving them. They're awesome but make me a bit nervous sometimes.

I mean if one of the girls in my house here finds one I won't let them kill it and I'll pick it up and take it outside but at the same time there's something oddly vunsettling about having them crawl over you if there one of the slightly larger ones. Might completely freak out if it ever happened with a one of the many fucking huge ones from the rest of the world.

to put it another way

Seeing this in my house in real life might make me shit my pants a little whilst I also thought it was pretty fucking awesome.

yeh there's something about spiders that are just too eery... love looking at them, but would definitely not want any of them, big or small, crawling on me... dont want that poison! also, went for a leek one time in the backyard of my friend's new house, and walked right into a banana spider's web... they're harmless but huge, and their web is so thick i literally had to struggle to get out of it.... not a fan of that

aside from that, i hate being close to any edge when i'm high above ground... love hiking but cant stand near any edge, only sit

Aren't Adders part of the viper family? Really poisonous snakes I believe.

I can barely touch psychedelics because of this these days. Took a trip way too far in to hyperspace once and was afraid of what I saw, infinite nothingness and whatnot. I should really hook up with Parson and let him talk me over one day, or just read more Carl Sagan :w:

Fuck these threads with pictures of spiders in.
Why do people feel the need to quote the pic as well?

It's not massively so. Fine for the majority of adults. Very painful though apparently and I think you're still recommended to get some sort of medical attention or keep an eye on someone if they do get bitten though.

They're not very aggressive either. Only attack in self defence.
