Isnt that the idea with reason, its stand alone and no audio clips?p3rt2k8 wrote:Should be able to export as mp3 and it should have more suport for accappellas and stuff. What would you like adding to reason.?
What you using? I mainly use reason but i have FL i use it as an audio editor and another thingamphibian wrote:I believe propellerheads have caved - Reason 5 is meant to have VST support is it not? I'm not a reason user, but one of the things I've always admired was that because of it's tight integration, it's performance has always been quite good. Watching a full track play with everything on and without having to resample or export/import wave files to save processing/cpu cycles is nice to see.
What would I add? Hell if I know, I use a real DAW
.mp3 export would be nice. Note that this is not a change but an addition.p3rt2k8 wrote:Should be able to export as mp3 and it should have more suport for accappellas and stuff.

Maybe you would like it that you could use audio in Reason? Have you looked into the PH software made Record which is fully integrated with reason.
Oh you mean like layering an a capella over your track?p3rt2k8 wrote:Thats what i ment i said pellas because i can easyly but audio into reason just not big stuff like a cappellas. This is why Reason is not a real DAW. Things like these are rather hard in Reason. You could do it with NN-XT but it would take forever.
There's plenty of free software out there that work way better for audio than Reason.
Reaper is probably your best bet. It's a FULL DAW and for some silly reason it's free. It has so many options that it might be a bit intimidating at first though.Bipolar wrote:To this day ive used nothing but reason, for vocal samples n everything, hearing what most people say i think its about time i found something else to edit my vocals, what would be the best way of doing this free? also something that would support VSTs, i must be missing out on loads!
How is it possible that you "can't do shit" in other software?! It's all the same shit in a different packaging.p3rt2k8 wrote:The thing is im getting good at reason and when ever i try other software i cant do shit. You should find a user of this forum called Futures_Untold. He has made a full studio pack from freeware. The main DAW is reaper and he put in plenty of fx's and synthsBipolar wrote:kejk wrote:Reaper is probably your best bet. It's a FULL DAW and for some silly reason it's free.
