just wondering what the deal is with 8/10% thing, im just thinking that because 10 is the default it would proper throw u off when u go back to technics as the stripes/lines would be different / the numark has 5 and the technics has 4... hmm

Won't throw you at all unless you actually read the scale... I've used Numarks for years and only when I'm trying stupid things do I find technics restrictive.

I wouldn't recommend buying Numarks tho, unless they're your first decks..

Get some STANTON ST150s. Better then 1210s. Clubs are installing them now too. At last!

I've been hearing decent things about the 150s actually.

My TTXs are grand - I truly love 'em. I keep them at 8%. Going to techs is no issue.

Id just get techies, but still with the understanding that there are better (not the right word) decks out there.

Built like a 5hit house.
Clubs usually only have these anyway.
Cheap and still reliable second hand.
Loose not much money on selling them when your misuses gets pregnant.

technics are the standard...but those high end stantons are very nice.

i even had the str8-80s for a while and had a blast on em. being able to pitch adjust while the record's playing backwards is fuuuunnnnn

I would never go back to 1210s.....unless my ST150s broke and i had to dig them out of the cupboard.!
Theyre roughly them same price but with better build quality/design, more functions and better reviews then the techys. I used to sell loads of them when i worked in a record/dj eqipment shop. (Not just a vinyl pusher then.:)
