Blipswitch’s newest release features a diverse selection of sounds from a diverse assortment of artists. On the Original Mix, SF/Miami dubstepper ROZANSKI infuses deep, dark dubstep beats with his signature melodic twists and keen attention to structure. As a member of the world-renown JazzSteppa and one-half of The Spit Brothers, Bakir has developed an intuitive understanding of the international direction in which dubstep is moving. As such, his remix takes the glitched bassline of the original into a sinister “eastern” direction, and interjects world rhythms and instrumentation into the mix. Tommy Lexxus shows off his melodic side on his interesting live guitar-led remix that successfully marries the track’s beautiful atmospherics to its ominous bassline. Last on the menu is a stellar deep tech-house remix from Italian minimal heavyweights Genetikal Twins, featuring driving beats, a steady pulsing bassline, and ethereal atmospherics. Blipswitch Digital’s status as a purveyor of eclectic, high-quality electronic music continues with yet another great release.
