BIG n BASHY proudly presents RINSE FM djs Elijah and Skilliam all the way from London town coming up to grace us with their monumental dj talents.

Elijah and Skilliam DJ on the world famous London pirate RINSE FM (recently having been granted a legal license !!) and are currently working on their new label entitled Butterz alongside their Butterz.co.uk blog website. Promoting Grime producers alongside the Synthy Dubstep sound Elijah and Skilliam have helped start many a new carreer along their way.

DJs in the truest form these guys are into the music and this shows when they play out with their sets chock full of energy and enthusiasm which always gets the crowds going mental. A recent show in Glasgow @ Fortified proved their pedigree in their ability to smash down dances outside of London and gave them their first introduction to the world reknowned hype reaction and energy of Scottish club crowds.

Mates with super producers such as Joker, Guido, Gemmy, Terror Danjah, Swindle, Rude Kid, Silencer aka Teddy music, Royal T, Taz Buckfaster , Mr Mitch and many more ensure these two have the dubs and bangers to keep the party goin all night !!!!

Support on the night from :

Taz Buckfaster (Subway records / Numbers / Rwina / Elektrical)

Hailing from the rain-soaked sandstone streets of Glasgow, Taz Buckfaster first came to the nations attention through exposure in sets courtesy of fellow native Hudson Mohawke amongst others. All leading to Mary Anne Hobbs enthusiastically declaring him 'one to watch' for 2010. We have already seen him release on labels such as Dubkraft, Ramp Recordings and Rwina Records. There's much more to come though; forthcoming releases on Rwina, Numbers, Subway and Lime are all in the pipeline. The self-confessed 'genre-dodger' has been pushing a sound that is as varied as it is distinct. His past collaborations are testament to that with the likes of Professor Green, Devlin and Durrty Goodz all getting involved!

Alongside residents:

Deburgh (Big n Bashy)
Decoy Roy (Big n Bashy / Four Corners)

Brilliant timing!

I was hoping Bongo Club would have a kick-ass night on 31st of July as we were looking for a club night to go to after the Fred Wesley & The New JBs concert at Princes Street Gardens.

Fred Wesley is playing @ 9pm if anyone wants to catch some party funk music before Bongo.......Edinburgh will be rocking on that Saturday night!

Fred Wesley & The New JBs are here as part of the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival 2010.

http://www.edinburghjazzfestival.com/in ... pageID=147

For those not familiar with the incredible Fred Wesley...........

"Fred Wesley is the trombonist, composer, arranger, bandleader and author known worldwide as one of the architects of funk music. Fred's work with Godfather of Soul James Brown in the 1970s established him as the world's funkiest trombone player.
Today he fronts his own jazz-funk band, the New JBs, passes his expertise along to students and younger musicians around the world, and lends his fire to assorted artists across a broad musical spectrum."
