the pad/cello in the beginning sounds too robotic and static, add some movement to it.
the overall structure is decent, but the bassline sounds a little flat.
i'd spend some time working on your sound design for basslines and try to spice them up.

Ummmmm no. Basically just tried to teach myself and didnt use the template. Ill download it now and try to follow it.
