( I find Fruity loops Tutorials are harder to find then any other program i wish to spred the love)

Since version 5 fruity loops removed the simplest looping tool ever and made it more effort so here is how its done!

(THIS METHOD IS LONG BUT WILL PERMINENTLY ADD LOOP POINTS TO WAV FILE)

Get your loop cut and ready

Load into edison (scissors cutting wave Pic)

Press button with arows joining them selfs ( 3rd button from the right)

Let it play make sure its looping propperly

Save as (saving the loop points you created)

Open new saved file into channel

right click wave shape in channel settings

Click detect tempo (and alow it to change tempo)

A few steps above the wave you will see "time stretching"

Right click "Time" then click Auto detect

Select Tempo that was detected earlyer

Next to the "time" nob is a selection of ways to fit

"Slice map" will keep the same pitch when tempo is changed

Afta that you should be done , now go ahead and chanmge tempo to were you want it =)

If anyone knows quicker/different ways to do this please post =)

Here is the easier way:

Put the loop in the play list, click on stretch, and drag the audio length to your desired loop length. UNCLICK STRETCH. Done.

Since this thread seems to be sorted, a quick *a side noob question*:

Why is it sometimes you can't change the pitch of a wav sample in the piano role? Only happens with wavs, not MP3s, so sometimes I have to export samples as MP3s in order to be able to change note... I think someone addressed this a while ago, but not sure. I think the answer was very simple.

I've had this problem before, and theres a number of ways to fix it;

Try right clicking on the "Time" knob and setting it to none.
Try setting "Ping pong loop" to off.
Try right clicking on the "Pitch" knob and setting it to none.
Basically just mess with the looping, timestretching and pitch settings.

Tell me if it worked.. :t:

i have had that problem, especially with rex files. some purchased wavs seem to be pitch locked somehow.

return the time stretch knob to its 0 position and then you can change the pitch.

If you drag a sample that has tempo information into a Sampler channel, FL Studio will automatically stretch it to the project's tempo, smart eh? The timestretcher in the Sampler channel is sloooow, so it doesn't let you pitch it around. Click the pitch, mul and time knobs with your middle mouse button to reset them and you're good to go.

Most loops i ever use are cut by myself. This is the way i use to permenently add loop points to the wav files

If I'm thinking of what you're thinking of, I just set the root back to c5, and usually any stretching is taken care of.

Keep reading the rest of the sentence after clicking stretch.
