It just seems ridiculous that any tune would sell for that much, maybe if it was 45 years old and was bought by JFK the day he was shot, that would be reasonable.
I remember seeing DMZ 3 & 4 going for £30 on Ebay but the recent represses put paid to that. Maybe DMZ aren't into repressing the earlier white label stuff.
Is 1 & 2 availiable for download on Bleep.com? (if you don't know already don't check- the site's down)

Tapes/files for 1 and 2 are lost or damaged.

Nah, the files are ok, it's the master pressing discs that are lost. At least that's what I've heard. So they can't be repressed, but they could press an entirely new record with the tracks on. Maybe one with a whole side for each tune... But they probably won't. Read some Mala interview where he said he liked the idea of lost and rare tunes. Something like that anyway.
And yeah, they're both on Bleep, so only reason for dropping mad cash on ebay is obsessive collector points. Not that I don't want them, I'd love to get 001 and have all the DMZs, I'm just not willing to spend that silly money.

Seeming as 300 or so people have them including me, a handful of people on this thread and of course Mala, Coki & Loefah themselves, would it be possible for them to make knew copies using the original press run as source sample?
The sound quality mightn't be as good but I would suspect that most of the old skool Garage bootleg EP's have been made this way. Though come to think of it 'Horror Show' in particular sounded pretty flat (on a hi-fi at least) anyway, maybe this method would ruin it completely.
