What do you do....

On your Birthday when none of your friends like the same music as you, you're turning 25 and don't particularly feel like it's something to celebrate, you've left it too late to plan anything big or exciting, and you don't particularly like any of your friends that much anyway?
Serious answers only please.
Well...I use the term 'serious' lightly.

This does depend on where the drinking is taking place. If it were to be in a large establishment that pumps out Lady Gaga, then...yes.
My idea is jsut to drink down the bars on the beach (in Brighton), as it'll be heaving from Gay Pride. But this
does mean I'll have to have conversations with these people I call my friends....which could go either way. Fun, or quite irritatingly boring.

I also tend to spend much of my time in clubs/bars wishing they were in fact other club/bars. Namely, Plastic People.

Make some friends who like the same music as you. Don't resent your friends for not having the same taste in music as you, just enjoy what common ground you share (you must have some ore you wouldn't be friends)

I don't dislike my friends because they don't like the same music as me.....just becasue they're nobberrrss.

One group of mates kind of chose me to be their new friend years ago...then before I knew it, everyone else has got on with their lives and I was lumbered with this lot, who are an irksome bunch.
I still have the odd couple of decent people as friends, (the ones I go to dubstep nights with) but they tend to never have money.
So when it comes to things like this, I have to resort to that lot. They're still my mates, and I'll stay loyal....but I just don't really like them that much.

You said you 'proper' friends have all moved on.... where did they move to? If it's london why not all go out there?! You can go somewhere decent then too. And if your mates moan about not wanting to see dubstep remind them that is is YOUR birthday, and they will fucking OBEY.
