Anyone else have this problem? Got quite a nice car with what i though was an ok sound for a standard system. Distortion is the name of the game now! Big ugly buzzing vibrating speakers

my car loves dubstep. when i was a yoot i slaved away to get a decent car system. combination of alpine head, jbl 6x9s and alpine sub. detatched the stock speakers.

its almost too loud and i have to turn the volume down at traffic lights so as not to look like a right...

Nah N Type, them subs are not made for abuse, they are made for them posh boffs in Chelsea.
I reccomend a Kicker Solobaric 12"sub,a decent 1200w d-class amplifier, and a decent front stage compnent set up, of course amped up and a decent head unit. Been rinsing the dark bass lines for years, and never had a issue, and also because i am a install techie. Ask Hatcha about the Black XR2i

A good bud of mine ravaged the entire speaker system in a rental car with one play of Various- "The World is Gone".
Definitely glad I still Have my subs n amp for when I get a car back on the road. I miss rollin around with a confined airspace, low frequencies and high decibels. Soon soon!

I fucked up all my speakers cos of this music!
The one in the back comes on every now and again and starts fartin like a trooper!
Hold tight those that know about travelling in the back of my car, pure jokes.
My advice is get speakers that run from 20hz to 20 khz and you should be cool.

Yeah, I scrackered my sub not once, but twice playing drum 'n' bass and techno a bit too loud. Luckily, it was under warranty and I got it replaced for nowt on both occasions.
I made sure that a nice classical CD was in the player when I took it in for repairs. Didn't want them blaming me for the damage.
