Skream's 2D

I've been biting my tongue so to speak regarding this tune but I can't be quiet any longer. 2D is killing me more with each listen, its one of those tunes that has it all. The standard half step skank is there, but the snare hit finds its family roots in the early Aphex/u-ziq lineage. The synth wouldn't be out of place on an Audion track or an early acid cut. And I love the way it jiggles snaps and glitches its way towards a hallucinogenic breakdown where all motion stops then sends the sounds reeling backwards out towards your head. My enthusiasm for this track is preventing me from articulating all the parts I love, but big up to yourself Skream, this track is everything right now. And if you can find it in your heart, you know the brothers boyd would love to rinse this out any chance we get.

Yea im a fan of 2D also.. i tried showing my boys about it a lil while back and they didnt really feel it..
NOW THEY ARE SUCKLING ON THE BALLS OF 2-DIMENSIONAL !
Apparently, he didnt think it wud appeal to us Stepperz.. but each to their own i say, he shuda had more faith, it was ALMOST like he was scared to make it (experimenting-wise).. we love the experimental side of ya Ollz !
Big track none the less, everythin Skream releated seems to ave BANGER n SMASH all over it..

Good track...nice to see skream adopting some glitch into his stuff...certainly a bit different to his usual output and good to see him going to different places!

me love it. mad slap bass and skull splitting snare. has a kind of squarepusherish element to it imo. 2nd drop is wicked

The reverse synth bit is just too good, gives me the funky skank!
