hello there im looking for some advice regarding eq. Im in my first year of making tunes and am well confused about the parametric eq in fl studio. What i cant figureout is what r the benefits of using the highpass and lowpass filters here as opposed to what i currently do which is usethe filters in the vst or samplerchannel. Can anyone put me straight please. Cheers people.

No real difference, curves might be slightly different but they're virtually the same. Some synths will have analog modeled filters or a saturation stage built in; you may find these have a fatter tone, but it's fairly subjective. For general utility filtering the EQ will be fine. Go with whatever sounds best.
