Korg nanoPAD + FL9

Picked up a korg nanopad today (I know some people hate these but want to toy around with something cheap before inventing in something more expensive).
I absolutely cannot seem to figure out how to get this working with FL9. The only tutorials/vids I can seem to find are for the nanokontroler. FL recognises the nanopad as an available midi deviice and I tried to get it working with the FPC kit but it just wont happen.
Any help would be great!

I know nothing about FL or the nanoPAD.. but is there a way you can tell what notes the nanoPAD are triggering?
..maybe you already did this!
But if the nanoPAD is triggering C3-C4 and what you're trying to control(FPC kit?) has samples between C1-C2.. you're gonna want to get them matching!

Checked the notes but that does not seem to be the problem. Does any one have an FL9 flie with nanoPAd presets / Korg Kontrol Centre presets that they could please send me?
I emailed Korg but would rather avoid waiting three days if possible.
On the korg site they give download to sync the nanokontrol with fl8, and they say that you can load these presets to the nanopad via the korg kontrol center but I cannot make that work either as my nanopad can only load .nanopad files

did the nanopad come with any kind of software?

All the drivers and software (called Korg Kontrol Editor) are downloadable directly from their site.
I think the problem may be with my midi mapping (I have never done this before). Below is a crude screen cap of my FL9 midi setting, the input/output preferences in the Korg software, and also the global setting in the korg software.

everything looks good.. and you're trying to control this:

Looks like your controller is hitting C1-C2.. d o you know what note(s) you have your sample(s) on(in fpc)?

Yea Iv been trying with the FPC kit, and also with the EZ drummer lite software that comes with the nanopad.
have this thing a few days and still not been able to use it. Its driving me crazy!
Do I need to keep the KontrolEditor software open when using this in FL? Its there any sort of generic troubleshoot I can do with this so be sure it even works?

Don't understand this problem really.
Have you tried selecting a pad in the fpc, and in the upper right hand clicking on the midi note and clicking learn and then pressing a pad? This will link the actual midi controller pad to the virtual pad of the fpc.

yeah me and my friend had this problem with his axiom, We did the midi learn, and everything was smooth from there. Give it a go.

FL responds when i touch the controller and it recognises the midi data. The only thing on the pad that seems to work is the finger pad. I have tried making each pad learn individually but it just does not seem to be working. So frustrating !

I bought recently nanopad because it looked nice, cost-effective etc. But looks like its piece of shit really.
Still id like to get it work at least, all my pads seems to be super un-sensitive so i have to press them real hard to my FL9 to recognize them. Anyone have any idea what to do? I've installed the latest drivers plus i set velocity curve to constant and full velocity from kontrol editor. Still, same problem. X-y pad seems to work with no probs. I hope the problem isnt in the nanopad itself.. If it is, i want my fucking money back. Fuck you korg

Could be your pads are bad. Can you return the nanopad and get a new one. If they are the same pads from the padkonrtrol the pads should be supersensitive. You can create a velocity curve in FL that will increase the velocity of hits from the nano, but I think you have a bad unit if you need to use it.

Bah,
ill return it to Thomann and get my money back, i dont want another one of these, now when i searched about nanopad there is so many complaints about quality that i dont even want one, pain in the ass to have equipment which doesen't work correctly.

I've taken a broken one of these home and it's useful for the xy pad alone
Seriously though when it comes to pads : AKAI = FTW

Pre 2004 bankruptcy akai, yes, but now akai is owned by the same people that own numark and alesis... pads now suck.
The nanopad does seem like a disposable piece of gear. My experience with korg's pads is limited to the pad kontrol which is absolutely excellent, and makes akai's pads found on my mpk49 seem like a toy.

Not had the chance to use the Pad kontrol, but comparing it to the mpk49? if you're looking for a fair comparison then you have to compare the mpd surely?
